Rahel Gizaw, MPH

Rahel Gizaw is a public health expert with more than eight years of experience and holds an M.P.H from Johns Hopkins University. Rahel currently serves as a Technical Officer for African Network of Drugs and Diagnostic Innovation hosted in UNOPS in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Ms. Gizaw has previously served as a Technical Advisor for Yale Global Health Leadership. As an advisor, she thought, oversaw and managed the implementation of a seven‐month training program focused on developing leadership, management, and governance capacities among Ethiopia’s 11 regional health bureaus. Previously, she was the Country Lead for Ministerial Leadership Initiative for Global Health program in Ethiopia. As a Country Lead, she oversaw and facilitated the implementation of a strategic planning and management tool (Balanced Scorecard) by Balanced Scorecard Institute within the federal ministry of health in Ethiopia. As an Advocacy and Research officer with ActionAid Ethiopia, she led and coordinated an HIV resource tracking project and provided technical guidance on the research intersection between HIV and violence against women. Ms. Gizaw has published several publications on reputable journals including a publication on Lancet.
