Finance and Admin Officer – ANDI, UNOPS, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Alemu Kidane is a Chartered Certified Accountant having experience in Administration, Financial Management, Project Management, Public Financial Management Reform & Capacity Building, Audit Chamber Reform and Capacity Building, and Auditing (both external & programme). Mr. Tekie is currently the Finance and Admin Officer of ANDI and is in charge of the overall administrative and financial support to ANDI. Prior to this assignment he worked as Technical Specialist – Project management & Public Expenditure Management with UNDP Sudan and has undertaken tasks associated with both project management and Public Expenditure Management. Prior to joining UNDP, he was recruited by Harvard University and served in the capacity of Public Financial Management Reform Advisor to the Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in Ethiopia and spearhead reform activities at both Federal and State levels. He also led Audit Chamber Reform and Capacity Building team in the capacity of Regional Audit Manager/Trainer to the South Sudan Audit Chamber (SSAC). In early times of his career Mr. Tekie served as Programme Auditor to the Embassy of Ireland in Ethiopia; and as an Audit Manager and Senior Auditor in a private audit firm.
